Hi, my name is Alex and this is my blog. Here, you’ll get updates on what’s going on in my life and blog posts on random topics I feel like writing about.
I was born and raised in Southern California to Chinese parents. As a child I enjoyed dinosaurs, pirates, knights, and a host of other stereotypical “boy” things. I remember many trips to Disneyland when it was still affordable and many days reading books.
I was never very interested in school, but with the help and encouragement from my parents, I graduated high school Suma Cum Laude and went on to become a student at UC Irvine. At college I double majored in Political Science and Informatics. After graduating, I took a break from academics to help with the care of my elderly grandmother who was diagnosed with dementia.
Now I’m taking extra classes at the local community college to brush up on my portfolio and hope to find myself outside of classic academics.
